ISTD - Lost Brief - 2019. This is my entry for the 2019 ISTD award. My project is based on the ancient written language of runes. In particular it focuses on one of the most important runes. In particular it focuses on one of the most important rune sets ‘Elder Futhark’. The book educates its audience on the characters of the ancient alphabet. I created carvings to use as imagery throughout the book. The book is perfect bound with a screenprinted and debossed cover design. I also wrote all of the inside copy and body text of the book based on extensive research that I undertook.
